RULE: ONLY ONE THREAD PER CREW !! - NO RP THREADS HERE!!

When I have new stuff to post regarding my crew I simply add it to my existing thread.
Why do you need threads everywhere? I have the one & it serves me just fine. I get all the interest from it that my crew needs.
It's no good crying over spilt milk, just in future create new posts where a thread is not necessary.

My crew recently created a new crew. Here's my post advertising it - I didn't see that even as an entirely new crew that it needed a new thread, though I could have done.
We have three crews and all are under the wing of Restless MC so one thread does the job.

If you really feel that your thread's deletion was unfair & unwarranted, take it to a PM with @Persh, who I'm sure will be happy to explain why it was removed.

If you or anyone does ever want to start afresh with a new recruitment post, or even a title change just ask me and I'll be glad to help out.

Suggestions on clarifying forum rules can be posted here : http://gtavcrews.com/index.php?forums/site-feedback.3/
If that`s the case, I will PM Perch and ask. It should also be noted there are a number of other repeated recruitment posts on separate topic boards. As for my old recruitment, I might either see if I can get that deleted though or just edit it. I was hoping it could have at not been deleted but rather at least simply been transferred as a reply to my old one or maybe give me the chance to copy and paste it onto it as one then delete it.

If you send me the links to what threads you want merged into which, I can do that for you. Best by PM though.

After the deletion of the earliest post, I currently have none that I can think of. Though if any come to mind or I make a post that I then decide should have been placed somewhere else, I`ll do so. Thnxs.

If you have already made a thread but still go ahead and make another - IT WILL BE MERGED INTO YOUR ORIGINAL THREAD.
If you then make another - IT WILL BE DELETED.
If you carry on in that vein - Let's just see!

One Crew, One Thread - simple enough.

Now, to show that's not just me being nasty, I'll say this - The staff here are all too happy to help out if you want to change the title of your thread or delete it entirely, freeing you up to re-edit or re-make your thread as you please. I myself am here several times a day and will get to it quickly. I can be downright nice & real helpful when people play the game.

You only have to ask - we are actually nice people. PM myself or any staff member or use the 'report' button on your thread to bring our attention to a thread you want to change or delete.

Too many these days are making a new thread instead of responding to their existing thread with a post.

Since it appears that only 10% of the user base actually reads the rules, then I'm going to give you a subtle hint... with TITLE that stats this forum's rule.

  1. 1 topic per crew.
  2. If you represent multiple crews and the crew doesn't already have a topic here, you may start one.
  3. IF you would like to close out and delete your old recruitment thread, let any staff member know. They can delete it so you can start a new one.
  4. If you spam, you can and may be banned or suspended from posting on the site.
  5. RESPECT other crews and don't go to their thread to start shit or hijack it by posting your own recruitment replies.
  6. No XXX or NSFW (not safe for work) content may go up in threads. Keep that in private or on your personal sites.
If my thread exist delete it i would like to start over.

One thing that kinda seems annoying is that active posts don't get pushed to the top and get flooded out by all the new posts which, in turn get pushed down to the bottom after getting no replies, while threads that are getting replies and new content stay where they are.

It makes it very difficult for active crews to actually stand out.

The recruitment thread use to be set to recent message so old yet active recruitment posts could end up back on top. You can set it to this but it's not automatic and most new members won't think to do this. Me and Nugsy tried making Persh know this but Persh hasn't been on in a while. Time to... UNLEASH THE SPAMBOT... tehe.

Yeah, I think it definitely needs to be changed. It's part of the reason I spend more time putting content up on GTA Forums than I do here, because I know it probably won't get seen here.

Well there's a mini campaign going for this in two threads now. Persh is very reasonable. I'm sure we'll get the default setting changed back to favour the more active soon.

Bumped to the top for more to see. We just had a guy join and make four threads on one page, he got a warning and made another. He got a three day ban and a telling ....

.... He came back after three days and made yet another!

Of course he and his threads have gone now. Be warned.
